Vancouver Dream Catchers Sponsored by SmoothToe
The Vancouver Dream Catchers are a team of homeless men and women who recover their self-esteem, their health and their pride in community through the game of soccer.
The first team of street soccer players began practicing in Oppenheimer Park in February 2008. They went on to become the 2008 Canadian National Champions of the Homeless World Cup in Calgary on September 14, 2008. More importantly, over the course of the 2008 season, many players found a home, a job, new friends as well as other needed supports through their involvement in the Dream Catchers.
Proudly sponsored by SmoothToe Socks, the Vancouver Dream Catchers train and compete wearing SmoothToe Knee High Energizing socks.
